BYD Atto 3 suspension: what wears first on Polish roads

Rear bushings and top mounts dominate our returns data. Numbers, symptoms and replacement intervals.

Covers these models:BYD Atto 3

The extra mass of the Atto 3's battery pack loads the rear suspension harder than a comparable combustion car. In our returns data, rear control-arm bushings and top shock mounts fail worst — typically after 40,000–60,000 km on rougher road surfaces.

Symptoms: knocking over bumps at low speed and uneven tread wear on the rear axle. Both are worth checking together, since they often show up at the same time.

We sell the rear shock absorber per pair and recommend replacing both sides together, even when symptoms only show on one side.
