Charger — MG HS

The charging socket on an MG HS PHEV is usually located on the front fender or near the fuel filler flap — unlike many full EVs, where it's often at the rear of the car.

How to look after the socket and cable

• Always close the socket flap after charging to keep out moisture and dirt
• Don't leave the charging cable on wet ground longer than necessary
• Check regularly that the plug goes in without resistance — resistance can signal dirty contacts

A faulty socket is a separate repair from a faulty cable — if you suspect a fault, testing the cable on another car of the same type first can help narrow it down.
