Front bumper — Omoda 5

How to tell if it's the Omoda 5's bumper harness, not just a sensor, that's faulty.

The Omoda 5's front bumper wiring harness (part 204316020) connects the parking sensors and fog lights to the rest of the car's wiring — a fault in the harness itself shows up differently than a single failed sensor.

What to look for during diagnosis

  • All parking sensors stop working at once — more likely the harness than a single sensor
  • Visible chafing or corrosion on the harness connector once the bumper is removed
  • A fault code pointing to an open circuit rather than the sensor itself

If only one sensor has stopped working while the rest of the system behaves normally, the problem is more likely the sensor itself than the whole harness.
