A heated front windshield on the Omoda 5 melts frost and clears fog far faster than the cabin air vents alone — the thin heating wires embedded in the glass are barely visible, but genuinely cut down how long it takes to get the car ready to drive in winter.

How to check the function works

• Turn it on and, after a few minutes, carefully touch the glass from outside in a few spots — it should feel noticeably warmer than the surrounding air
• Watch for uneven frost-melting — it can point to a single broken heating wire
