Hybrid battery — MG ZS

The hybrid battery in an MG ZS works through a completely different cycle than a full EV's — it charges and discharges in small bursts during every drive, so its lifespan depends mostly on thermal conditions, not plug-in charging habits.

What's worth knowing

• High ambient temperatures speed up cell aging — parking in full summer sun for long periods isn't kind to it
• Regular, moderate use is better for it than long stretches of the car sitting unused

Manufacturers usually cover the hybrid battery under its own, multi-year warranty — worth checking the specifics in that car's documentation.
