Oil change — Omoda 5

An oil change on the Omoda 5 is more than draining the old oil and pouring in new — at the same time, we also replace the oil filter and the drain-plug washer, to avoid leaks.

What a complete oil change needs

• Oil filter: catalog number 4801012010
• A new drain-plug washer for the oil pan — a single-use part, never reused
• The correct amount of oil per the manufacturer's spec for that engine

Oil alone, without a new filter, is only half the job — the contaminants trapped by the old filter would just wash back into the fresh oil.
