Oil filter — Jaecoo 7
Why the oil filter matters for the Jaecoo 7's engine, and what a clogged one actually does.
Aftermarket parts matching the OE numbers
The oil filter traps metal shavings and soot produced as the engine runs, before they can recirculate through the lubrication system. On the Jaecoo 7 we always replace it together with the oil — fitting a new filter onto old, dirty oil defeats the purpose, since it clogs with the same contaminants right away.
Chery and Jaecoo — same filter, different box
The Jaecoo 7 uses engines developed within the Chery group, so the same filter is sold under both the Chery and Jaecoo brand names — in our catalog, part 481H1012010 (Chery) and F4J201012010 (Jaecoo) are physically the same component.
- Sign of a clogged filter: an oil-pressure warning on the dashboard, or a noticeably louder cold start
- Recommendation: replace at every oil change, regardless of mileage
- Options available: genuine Chery/Jaecoo, or a Blue Print aftermarket equivalent
