Oil filter — MG HS

The oil filter in an MG HS traps contaminants produced as the engine runs — without regular replacement, that dirt starts recirculating back through the oil, wearing engine components faster.

Why the timing matters

• The filter is always replaced together with the oil, never on its own
• A clogged filter can open a bypass valve that lets unfiltered oil through rather than starve the engine of lubrication
• Regular replacement is one of the cheapest ways to extend engine life
