PHEV battery — MG HS

The traction battery in an MG HS PHEV is one of the more expensive components in the car — PHEV makers standardly cover it with a longer, separate warranty than the rest of the vehicle.

What's worth checking in the documentation

• The exact warranty period in years and mileage limit
• The capacity-loss threshold that qualifies for a warranty repair or replacement
• The terms for transferring the warranty to the next owner

Details can vary by market and model year — worth verifying directly in that car's warranty booklet.
